Cookies

If you leave a comment on the Blog portion of this website, you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies that are stored on your device. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.

Google Analytics is used to track visits to this site and page views (see Google’s privacy policy). This process uses cookies and you may use Google’s opt-out browser add-on if you want to disable this.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content from other websites (e.g. videos, maps, images, articles, etc.) that behaves in the exact same way as if the other website is visited directly. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Data Processing, Sharing & Retention

If you leave a comment on the Blog portion of this website, the data in the comment form, your IP address and your browser user agent string is collected and checked using the Akismet automated spam detection service (learn how Akismet processes your comments data). In addition, an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) is provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using Gravatar to display your avatar (see Gravatar’s privacy policy), which is then visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Comments and their associated metadata are retained indefinitely, as is information submitted via the Contact Form. You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we have retained about you or request that we erase any of the data (not including any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes).

If you sign-up to receive occasional email Newsletters then your email address is collected by the Mailchimp service, which you can subsequently choose to remove (see MailChimp’s privacy policy).

Other than with the entities and for the purposes stated above, we do not knowingly share any data.
